frustrating
Karen has been dealing with a battle here at work recently with a co-worker that is giving her trouble. Many of you know the situation, so I don't need to go into too much detail, but it's getting worse. The co-worker has been causing trouble for several of us since she's been here because of the way she does business. She is unorganized and unable to accept when she messes up... Karen and I are usually the ones that have to fix what this person breaks and quite frankly, we're tired of it. Karen has to deal with it much more than I do and because she has such a good heart, she's trying to handle things as best as she can. Me? I would have snapped and yelled at this lady several times for the way she treats Karen. In fact, it's hard to hold back my emotions as a husband when I see someone treat my wife like crap. This is the difficult part of working with your spouse closely in an office environment. (Side note: I still love working with Karen every day!). Anyway, so Karen is now to the point where she told one of our two bosses that she is going to find another job if he doesn't assign her to a new project soon. Our other boss, who has more authority overall, has lined up another project for Karen to work for that would keep her here with us. However, the two bosses have not discussed this yet. It's getting a little nutty around here. So Karen is going to draft a letter today to our boss and tell him she's not going to deal with this any more and will find another job somewhere else if she has to, which I doubt she will need to do. It's going to be a very interesting week.
I just hate to see her have to put up with this kind of stuff.
